Located in historic Lawrenceville in the city of Pittsburgh, Canterbury Place—part of UPMC Senior Communities and managed by Oakdale Seniors Alliance—offers all the amenities of personal care, skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and skilled memory support in an affordable, comfortable, home-like environment.

Canterbury Place’s exceptional care, warm surroundings, affordability, and excellence in service have made it one of Western Pennsylvania’s leading providers of geriatric care. In addition to personal care services that promote independence and well-being, Canterbury expanded in 2015 and 2016 with the addition of 35 private skilled nursing and rehabilitation short-stay beds on two floors. These newly added units are part of the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute. Patients requiring a shorter stay with rehabilitation for strengthening their abilities before going home benefit greatly.

A professional team of certified nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants work cooperatively to enhance quality of life and return residents to their highest level of independent functioning. Caring, dedicated staff provide comprehensive skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and personal care services that address the physical, psychological, and social needs of each resident.
